Pencil ads (I).
These are some vintage pencil ads that Don P. sent us as a “blog-warming” gift last week. He tells me that he inherited them from his grandfather, along with a love of office supplies. Thanks, Don, for the images and the blog warm wishes.

These are some great old ads. I have supplemented my pencil collection with a number of such ads from different brands. Ocassionally you can find some very interesting ones on ebay. It’s interesting to see the evolution of marketing themes and artwork over the years of brands like Ticonderoga and Faber.
