Jacob of Untitled 13 is kind enough to let us post one of his recent pencil drawings:
PR: ” I have to ask: what kind of pencil is that? Prismacolor Verithin?”
U13: ” It’s a Staedtler non-repro blue pencil, which is probably pretty similar to a Verithin in softness and color…Been trying to use pencil more and more as it allows for much greater gradient control than pen stippling.”

Err… where’s the review?
Oop, yeah. Umm, I really like using the Staedtler pencil. Normally used for marking up print mechanicals and plates, the particular blue lead base doesn’t show up on a copier, it simply reflects the light. This just explains the original intent of the pencil.
I like it because it’s comparable to an HB lead in softness, lending to its versatility in drawing very light and dark lines. Quality is everything you’d expect from Staedtler…
Sorry, I didn’t really think about writing up a review, they just wanted to use the images. :)
