Pencils in “Reality”, on “The Simpsons.”

The Simpsons is one of the reasons that I have always owned a television, even before streaming shows like Mad Men and Downton Abbey became the norm. Pencils appear very often on the long-running series, though they usually make a sound (when used) like a dry 1980s-era marker on balloon (SQUEAK!). On last night’s episode, the humble pencil was featured with more…realism: broken erasers (above), broken points,

…and even literature on pencils.

Hahaha, the last picture is so funny.
I wonder whether the authors read your or other pencil blogs…

I wish! One of my life goals is to be on the that show in some way, as a voice or character. I don’t know how that’s ever going to happen though.

I wonder whether they read ‘How to sharpen a pencil’ and got the idea through that book.
Good luck with you goal. Maybe you’re lucky and someone from the team reads it and one day they’ll need the voice of a stationery shop owner or something related 8^)
The images you posted are just so funny… I’ve printed the last image from your blog post and it is now on my office door.
